The first step of PCGA enrollment is to express intent to join a Squadron that operates within the jurisdiction where you live or work for the past 12 months. This is to ensure operational and administrative convenience on your part as a volunteer.
Step 2
The Squadron Director or his appointed officer will guide you through the enrollment process and documentary requirements. This will all be discussed in the two-hour SQUADRON ORIENTATION.
Step 3
Submit ALL the following documentary requirements to your Squadron. These should be properly tabulated and compiled in a folder; four (4) hardcopies each and one (1) soft copy.
DO NOT submit if the contents of your folder are still incomplete.
Barangay Clearance at place of residence (valid & original)
Community Tax Certificate (latest & original)
Drug Test Certificate
Physical Exam Result with X-Ray
Four copies of 2x2 ID picture with white background
Professional license (if applicable)
DTI/SEC registration of business (if applicable)
Certificate of Employment

Upon the submission of your documentary requirements, you will undergo an interview/deliberation with the Squadron's Board of Membership. The Board will assess your qualification to join the PCGA.
You will then undergo a probation period of three (3) months to serve the PCGA and prove your worth to be a member.
Step 4
Register and pay with your Squadron for the eight-hour PCGA INDOCTRINATION that is held once every month. Only those who have completed Step 3 can be accommodated for the indoctrination.
Step 5
You will be deemed as an official PCGA member when your General Order is released by the Philippine Coast Guard, a copy of which will be given to you by your Squadron.
