YES. Swimming skills are welcomed along with other life saving and emergency qualifications, but it is not a requirement.
3. I am already a reservist with the AFP. Can I still join the PCGA?
Yes.
4. I currently do not have a job. Can I still join the PCGA?
Yes, for as long as you can fund your membership, training, and uniform expenses.
5. Do members have allowance or salary?
NONE. The PCGA is a volunteer organization; its members are composed of a diverse group of professionals who volunteer their time, talent, and treasure to the organization.
6. Do you train your applicants in a military camp as part of the enrollment procedure?
NO. Enrollment procedures only include seminar and indoctrination. All trainings will be given upon your official membership to the PCGA and not in a military camp.
7. Do PCGA members have law enforcement functions? Do you carry firearms?
No, we do not have security and law enforcement functions. PCGA members are non-combatants, hence, we do not carry nor are we allowed to carry firearms while in uniform.
8. My friend/relative is a member of a Squadron in National Capital Region (NCR); can I join them even if I live and work in a different province?
NO. New member applicants are advised to join a Squadron geographically located in their place of domicile or work. This is to ensure convenience and efficiency in administrative and operational functions of a member.
9. Where is the 102nd Squadron located?
The 102nd Squadron's official headquarters is set to be launched in 2024. It's areas of responsibility (AOR) are Manila, Marikina, Rizal, and Laguna.
