As per the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Regulations Manual (PRM) 2021 Chapter 3 Section A: General Guidelines, membership in the PCGA is on a voluntary basis. However, a member may introduce the organization to potential members who are interested in rendering community service as they may eventually embrace the concept of PCGA service.
All members of the PCGA should belong to a Squadron, it is an entry requirement which has to be maintained while in the PCGA.
The PCGA ranks of a new member applicant will be determined based on his/her qualifications (educational, professional, and training experiences) and in accordance with the criteria set forth.
Membership Classification A member shall be classified as ACTIVE is he/she complies with all of the following:
Participates in at least 50% of the authorized PCGA annual activities and programs
Attends at least 50% of the Squadron/Division meetings
Pays Annual Membership dues
A member shall be declared as INACTIVE due to the following reasons as duly validated:
Serious health problems
Failure to attend regular meetings and activities
Failure to pay required dues
Residency Requirements An applicant may join any Squadron of his choice regardless of geographic location provided that he has been residing or has work concerns in the said area where he is applying for membership for not less than 12 months.
